This Privacy Policy explains how COMICPAD collects, uses, and protects your personal information when you use our service. We are committed to safeguarding your privacy.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly: your name and email address when you create an account. We also collect character descriptions, comic content you generate, and usage data such as pages visited and features used. We automatically collect device information, IP address, and browser type for analytics and security purposes.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: provide and improve the service; generate comic content based on your inputs; process payments and manage your account; send service-related communications; analyze usage patterns to improve user experience; and comply with legal obligations.
4. Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with: payment processors to handle transactions; cloud service providers who host our infrastructure; AI service providers who help generate comic content (prompts and descriptions are processed by our AI partners); and law enforcement when required by law.
5. Content Generation and Moderation
Character descriptions and story prompts are used solely for generating your comic content. All inputs are processed through automated content moderation systems to detect prohibited content (including NSFW material, unauthorized likeness of real people, and copyrighted characters). Your inputs are not used for AI model training. Generated content can be deleted at any time through your account settings.
6. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure cloud servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest. Generated comics are stored securely and can be deleted through your account settings. While we take reasonable precautions, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. Generated comics are stored until you delete them or close your account. Usage logs and analytics data are retained for up to 12 months. You may request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature in Settings.
8. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and user preferences (such as language and theme settings). We may use analytics cookies to understand how the service is used. You can control cookie settings through your browser.
9. Your Rights
You have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; delete your account and associated data; export your comic creations; and opt out of non-essential communications. To exercise these rights, visit your Settings page or contact us.
10. GDPR and International Privacy Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or other jurisdictions with data protection laws, you have additional rights including: the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data; the right to restrict or object to processing; the right to data portability; and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. We process your data based on your consent (for account creation) and our legitimate interests (for service improvement and security). For California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used, the right to delete your data, the right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights. 11. Children's Privacy
The service is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
